Russia 2 - St Petersburg

The Alexander Column is a monument to the Russian victory over Napoleonic France. At the top is an angel whose face is said to resemble that of Emperor Alexander I (hard to tell from here!) It was quite an engineering feat in the 1830s as no cranes were used to place this 600 ton monument here.
